The Southwestern Pole bending Association has announced its tentative schedule for the 2008 speed event schedule. Dates are as follows:
June 14, September 6, October 11, October 25 and December 6. As in 2007, each show will consist of two sets of AQHA pole bending and barrel racing classes and a $100 added open pole bending class.
The Southwestern Pole Bending Association has announced that it will award a saddle to the horse with the lowest combined times in the three pole bending futurities scheduled in 2008 in Central California. These futurities are:
The $1,000 added 3D futurity at the Mothers Day Circuit in
Paso Robles on May 8-11, 2008
The $1,000 added 3D futurity at the Summer Celebration Show in Watsonville on
July 2-5, 2008
The $1,000 added 3D futurity at the QHEAC Show in Watsonville October
16-19, 2008.
While these futurities are held in conjunction with AQHA approved shows, all of the pole bending futurities are open to horse of all breeds that are 5 and under, not just registered quarter horses. All three futurities are approved by the National Pole Bending Association and exhibitors must be NPBA members.
