Futurity 1D Champion Betts Secret
Southwestern Pole Bending Association Futurity winner Betts Secret with owner Betty Brown of Denver, Colorado, rider Doug Brown and SPBA Vice President Marc Ristow. The gelding, by Raise A Secret and out of a Kitaman mare, won $563 for his efforts.
Futurity 2D Champion Smash Bada Boom
Southwestern Pole Bending Association Futurity 2D winner Smash Bada Boom with owner/rider Tim Parker of Paso Robles, California, and SPBA Vice President Marc Ristow. The filly, by Juno Dat Cash out of a race winning Easily Smashed mare, won $327 for her efforts.
Futurity 3D Champion Dana D Sugar
Southwestern Pole Bending Association Futurity 3D winner Dana D Sugar, owned by Lazy K Bar T Quarter Horses of Atascadero, California, pictured with rider Mark Ristow and SPBA President Doug Brown. The Homespun Hancock filly, a product of the breeding program of Rider Ranch, Yuma, Arizona, won $145 for her efforts.
Other Futurity money winners included 2nd go winner We Go N Fast, a Rene Dan Jet filly qualified for the AQHA World Show in 2004, who won $208.50 and 1st go winner Samona Zoom, a three quarter sister to the AQHA top ten pole bending mare Dinkys Roana Samona, who earned $181.
Sweepstakes 1D Champion He Reigns Supreme
Southwestern Pole Bending Association Sweepstakes winner He Reigns Supreme with owner/rider Doug Brown, Paso Robles, California, and SPBA Vice President Marc Ristow. The Rene Dan Jet gelding, a top ten finisher at the AQHA World Show in Junior Pole Bending in 2000, won $388 for his efforts
Other Sweepstakes money winners included Bruce N Doc, a two time AQHA top ten pole bending gelding ridden by Brittia Hollingsworth, who earned $259, We Go N Fast and Marc Ristow who earned $208 and Redmans Lil Angel, a Dinky’s Red Man daughter owned by Tim Parker and ridden by Kate Ristow, who earned $139.
SPBA has announced that the 2005 Pole Bending Futurity and Sweepstakes have been scheduled for October 8, 2005 at Wranglerette Arena in Atascadero, CA.
